SG retail card states 'very fine unused o.g. example of this difficult watermark variety printed by Harrison & Sons, however we note barely perceptible original gum crease almost certainly pre-production which may be the reason why SG did not state this to be the unmounted mint example that it is. These day Gibbons have started to highlight a 20% difference uplift in catalogue value by listed SH printing at £3,000= versus DLR printing £2,500= which we agree. This Somerset House £1. Deep Green is literally the finest example that we have ever handled. You may find other examples cheaper, but, in our opinion you may never find better. Perfect colour, wonderful centring (SH £1 are notoriously off-centre) full perforation, pristine 'Post Office fresh' unmounted mint full original gum condition.
